Our country ECUADOR is a sovereign country located in the northwestern region of South America is made up of 18 million inhabitants in the country and has twenty-four provinces which are: Bolívar, Azuay, Cotopaxi, Chimborazo, Zamora Chinchipe, Pastaza, Pichincha, Guayas , Galapagos, Los Ríos, Loja, Esmeraldas, Imbabura, Morona Santiago, Napo, Orellana, Sucumbíos, Tungurahua, Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas, Santa Elena, El Oro, Carchi, Cañar, Manabí. The official language of Ecuador is Spanish along with other recognized indigenous languages such as: Kichwa and Shuar. Quito is one of the capitals and most populated city in the country.

The economy of our Ecuador is determined by access to different natural resources, oil is one of the most important in the country. Our country obtains great fishing resources thanks to its extensive coastline. To this we can add agricultural plantations of tropical fruits, cereals and also important mining resources.

Biodiversity of the equator of the 4 regions: Littoral Region, Interandina Region, Amazonia, Insular.

Ecuador is one of the richest countries in the diversity of ecosystems and species throughout the country. Its geographical position is in the Andes mountain range where there are a variety of forests, microclimates from the humid places of the Amazon to the northwest, the warm ecosystems that are the beaches of the Pacific to the eternal snows of the volcanoes. Because each natural region of the Ecuador including archipelago that presents its own characteristics taking into account abiotic factors.

• Littoral Region:

It is located between the Andes mountain range and the Pacific Ocean..

Habitat: plains of hot-humid and warm-dry climate. 

Flora: Mangroves, Xerophytic Plants, Grasses, etc.

Fauna: Monkeys, Birds, Amphibians and Reptiles.

• Interandina Region:

It is made up of the provinces of Pichincha, Carchi, Tungurahua, Chimborazo, Cañar, Azuay, Loja, Imbabura, Bolívar and Cotopaxi.

Flora: Andean Alder, Amaranth, Walnut, Kidron, Pumamaqui, Quinoa, etc.

Fauna: Condor, Weasel, Spectacled Bear, Paramo Wolf, Puma, etc.

Habitat: Variety of climate.

• Amazon

Region of the horizontal and northern part of South America that includes the tropical forest and the Amazon river.

Flora: mainland forests, swampy forests, Vega vegetation and etc.

Fauna: Black Panther, Titi Monkey, Pink Dolphin, Silky Anteater

Habitat: Covered with virgin forest, warm humid climate.

• Insular

It is considered the fourth natural region of Ecuador.

Flora: breadfruit, citrus fruits such as orange, lemon, noni, yucca, yam, papayas, etc.

Fauna: shovel snail, ray shark, horse mackerel, marine and land iguanas, hammerhead sharks, galapagos penguins, jellyfish, red snapper, etc.

Habitat: Ocean currents determine two climatic seasons that are cold and another warm.
